As a Delaware Charter School, EastSide Charter School receives public funding for operating expenses, but does not receive any funding for capital expenses. In order to meet these needs and enhance supplemental educational programs at the school, the First Community Foundation was created in 2005. Since its creation, the Foundation has provided students with scholarships, ensured free meals for all students, financially supported better student-to-teacher ratios, and much more.
